Thank you to some pupils from Year 6 with Viv Bull and Annette Schembri. They all visited Westminster to talk about food poverty. Here is a quote from Pandora Haydon of The Food Foundation:
“Everyone went absolutely wild for the Rockmount students – they’re a lot of fun but more importantly they’re so incredibly articulate, knowledgeable and confident. It was brilliant to hear about the amazing work you’re doing at Rockmount in terms of your edible garden and forthcoming learning kitchen. It’s also crucial that the people in that room got to hear from the young people that their policies actually affect, so please send a huge well done and a massive thank you to the children for doing so brilliantly and playing such a significant role in these efforts to improve the food system. We really have had waves of positive feedback about them from so many attendees – “the children stole the show”; “they were so special”, “those kids are really very sharp” and so on!”
