Since the start of 'Lock Down' we have been working hard on redeveloping the unused wildlife garden. We have re-built the pond, added a bird zone, added a forest zone and created a log pile. So far (Sep 2020) we have spent over £4000. This funding comes in the form of an Eco grant from DPD of £2957 and the rest from RFC.
The up keep of such an area is vast and we are looking for your help. Below you will find a list of things that are needed to keep the area going for the children to use. If you are able to purchase anything from the list or donate money to continue to develop the area, it would mean that the children will be able to enjoy the area so much more.
If you can donate any of the items below, please drop them of at the office for the attention of Mr Ricketts and ensure that your child's name and class are clearly marked so we can thank you.
Items we need -
Ever Green Climbers
Squirrel proof bird feeders
Bird seed (non seeding if possible) / fat balls / peanuts
Shade loving plants
Wildflower seeds / seed bombs
Pond vacuum cleaner
Garden tools - rakes, secateurs, spades & forks etc
