We're going on a bug hunt!

Year 4 investigate minibeasts in our school playground for our science topic 'Living things and their habitats'.

This week, Year 4 went on an adventurous bug hunt in our school playground as part of our science topic, Living Things and Their Habitats. Armed with magnifying glasses and notebooks, the children searched under logs, stones, and leaves to discover all sorts of minibeasts. They found wriggly worms, busy ants, and even a few woodlice hiding in damp, dark corners. All the creatures they saw were invertebrates, which are animals without backbones. Everyone loved observing the tiny creatures up close and learning about where they live and how they survive. It was a fantastic way to explore nature right in our own playground!
