World Book Day 2026 began with a wonderful sense of excitement as our school came together to celebrate the power of stories and the joy of reading. Our celebrations were made even more special by the enthusiasm across the school, as children spent time sharing their favourite stories, meeting visiting author Ryan Crawford, dressing up as their much‑loved book characters, and taking part in energetic reading quizzes. The day also featured a vibrant book fair after school and a creative dolly peg competition, with well done to everyone who participated in the competition. The whole day created a lively atmosphere that highlighted just how inspiring books can be, and we hope it sparks a lifelong love of reading in every child.
