As part of the National Year of Reading, we are delighted to begin an exciting new chapter at our school with the development of our brand-new library.
Thanks to funding for primary school libraries, we have taken the first step in creating a vibrant reading space where every child can discover the joy of books and develop a lifelong love of reading. This week, our Reading Ambassadors were thrilled to welcome the delivery of 500 brand-new books, eagerly helping to unpack and explore the fantastic range of titles that will soon fill our library shelves.
The National Year of Reading celebrates the importance of reading for pleasure and encourages children to discover stories that inspire, excite and broaden their horizons. We are incredibly excited to be creating a welcoming space that will support this vision and provide our pupils with even more opportunities to enjoy reading.
Our library is still very much a work in progress, but this exciting delivery marks the beginning of something special. Stay tuned for updates as we continue transforming the space and prepare to open the doors to our wonderful new library! 📚✨
