PE is a statutory part of the curriculum and the children at Rockmount are entitled to 2 hours of PE each week from KS1 upwards. It is compulsory that children are required to have their PE kit in school. In Years 4, 5 and 6 children are required to come to school wearing their PE kit due to COVID-19 restrictions.
The school has adopted the following uniform for PE lessons:
- Royal blue shorts
- Plimsolls for indoors (trainers may be worn outside only)
- A plain white t-shirt (no brands) or white Rockmount t-shirt
- Royal blue or black jogging bottoms (optional for cold weather)
- Royal blue Rockmount school jumper (optional for cold weather)
- Leggings are to be worn underneath shorts for warmth in cold weather
- Thermals can be worn underneath a white t-shirt in cold weather
It is essential that children have the correct PE kit for their safety. Children turning up to PE lessons in their school shoes poses a serious health and safety risk and can result in slips, trips and falls.
