£585.10 raised for the victims of Typhoon Haiyan

On Friday 22nd November the school was a mass of red, blue and yellow as we dressed in the flag colours of the Philippines and donated money to the Disaster’s Emergency Committee. The cake sale and the donations made by more or less every single person in the school amounted to £585.10. Many children made flags to wave and some put themselves in the shoes of the aid workers and made team decisions about what need to focus on first, working out costings to see how far our £585.10 could go. We know that this money will make a difference to quite a number of Philippians who have been made homeless by the devastation brought about by Typhoon Haiyan, so a big thank you to everyone.
