Year 1 visit ZSL London Zoo

Year 1 had a brilliant day at London Zoo. They had lunch as soon as they arrived and then began to explore! The children’s particular highlights were the butterfly paradise and watching the penguin show. Some animals such as the lemurs were incredibly tame and unfazed by close proximity to children while others such as the tiger, sloth and pygmy hippo just slept their way through the day!  The children wrote about the trip the following day.  Tim in Crystal Class wrote “I saw a humungous gorilla that was climbing and I liked the spooky bats – there were twenty seven!”
