  We said a fond farewell to Margaret O'Meara this week, as she retired after working at Rockmount for over 24 years. We thanked her for her hard work and dedication. Enjoy your retirement, Ms O'Meara.

  

• The Wellbeing Award for Schools

  Congratulations to the whole school community. We have achieved the Wellbeing Award for Schools, a national standard for positive mental health and emotional wellbeing.

  

• Children's Right To Food

  Five pupils from Year 6 visited Westminster for the launch of the Children's Right to Food report. Janan is a London Food Ambassador and spoke to an audience of 250 influential and powerful people. She then went to Downing Street to hand in the report alongside Dame Emma Thompson and other ambassadors. Isaac, Niedjeni, Alison and Nazeeha spoke to members of the Department for Education about what needs to change. 

  

• Quiz Night

  Our second Parents and Teachers Quiz night in aid of the Learning Kitchen took place on 29^th March. Another great evening with our amazing Quiz Master, Mr Haines. A big thank you to Veryan Wilkie-Jones, Mel Taylor and team for organising the whole evening and Brown and Green Café for letting us use their venue for the evening. Funds raised are set to exceed last year, thank you to everyone who took part!
