  • NSPCC Number Day

    Wed 08 Feb 2023

On Friday 3rd February, the children of Rockmount took part in NSPCC Number Day. We had lots of fun dressing up as our favourite numbers, taking part in maths challenges and of course raising money for the amazing NSPCC. We raised just over £230 on the day so well done and a massive thank you to all who donated!

Below are some pictures of the day for you to enjoy.

  • Children's Mental Health Day

    Wed 08 Feb 2023

On the 8th February  schools, families and communities across the UK will take part in Children’s Mental Health Week. This year’s theme is Let’s Connect.

Let’s Connect is about making meaningful connections for all, during Children’s Mental Health Week – and beyond. People thrive in communities, and this connection is vital for our wellbeing.

When we have healthy connections – to family, friends and others – this can support our mental health and our sense of wellbeing. And when our need for rewarding social connections is not met, we can sometimes feel isolated and lonely – which can have a negative impact on our mental health.

For Children’s Mental Health Week 2023, we’re encouraging people to connect with others in healthy, rewarding and meaningful ways.

  • Internet Safety Day 7th February 2023

    Tue 07 Feb 2023

Today is Internet Safety Day and the theme for this year is "Want to talk about it? Making space for conversations about life online".

At Rockmount we are celebrating by putting children and young people’s voices at the heart of the day and encouraging them to shape the online safety support that they receive.

This year we are hoping to answer the following questions:

    • What issues really matter to children and young people?
    • What changes do they want to see?
    • How can we all work together to advocate for them moving forward?

With your help, Safer Internet Day 2023 can be a springboard for conversations that shape how we talk about and respond to online issues, not just for one day, but throughout the whole year.
