This week Nursery and Reception had a Danceathon to raise money to develop their outside learning spaces. The children threw some pretty awesome shapes- the Macarena was definitely a favourite! Thanks to the generosity of the Rockmount community, we raised over £1000. Watch this space for information about developments made.
The Eco Warriors have taken on a new element to their role this week. They are now jointly responsible for the care of our rabbits over the course of the school day. A new entrance to the rabbit hutch has been created to allow the Warriors to access the rabbits independently at playtimes and lunchtimes. This means they can help staff to feed the rabbits, change their water, let them in and out of their hutches as well as give them lots of attention.
We are delighted to have renewed our Healthy Schools London Bronze Award. This award recognises the work we have put into supporting the health and wellbeing of our school and community by creating an environment which promotes health lifestyles. By working to renew our Bronze Award, we have maintained our Silver and Gold Awards, We are very proud of this as we are currently only 1 of 10 schools in Croydon who have achieved Gold status.
