It has been very exciting to return and see the final stages of the new multi-sports surface being laid. We can't wait to see it in use later this week.

This month the children have been learning all about 'Saluting Our Sisters'. The black women have all made a global impact in their respective fields, such as the sciences, film, sports, art and many other areas. Some of these women included Nicola Adams, Serena Williams, Floella Benjamin and Lina Iris Viktor.
The children produced some amazing pieces of work, which culminated in our showcase where the children were able to show their family and friends all they had learnt. The showcase was an informative, vibrant and colourful celebration of knowledge and skills by the children we have at Rockmount.
It was lovely to see everyone at the Reading Breakfast today. Thank you for helping us to continually promote 'Reading for Pleasure' in our school.
Thanks to all of our wonderful families who turned up to help at our monthly Community Club gardening session last Sunday. It was great fun and we manged to get so much work completed. Sitting around the fire pit cooking sausages was a great way to end the morning! Our next session will be Sunday 12th November.
Our wonderful Rockmount Waiters were in full swing today encouraging positive conversation, reminding other to use good manners, pouring water, cutting up food for Reception and helping staff keep the hall clean and tidy across the lunch period.

Thank you so much to those who were able to attend the Reception Phonics Workshop this morning. The workshop was designed to 'demystify' phonics, give insights into the core concepts of the RML scheme, explore hands-on activities and provide practical strategies to nurture reading and writing skills at home.
