The School Council recently visited the Houses of Parliament and had a fantastic trip! The children visited the Horse Guards, had an informative tour around the Houses of Parliament and also had the opportunity to attend a debate in the public gallery in the House of Commons. They then took part in a workshop where they got to take on the role of MPs and weigh up the pros and cons of a topical subject; "should homework be banned?" Miss Fryman and Miss Carvall were so impressed with the representatives, who were engaged, inquisitive and brilliant throughout the day!

On Wednesday 3rd May Rebecca, Lyra, Zack and Grace went to the City Hall in Greenwich to attend the ‘Fourth Plinth School Awards’. We were delighted to support Rebecca as she had won the competition for her age category. Her entry was a sculpture of her dog Kira which she made in KS2 Art Club over several weeks. The competition included over 2000 schools entering across London. Rebecca received an award on stage and was presented a goodie bag of art supplies! We are so proud of her amazing achievement!
“My favourite part of the day was seeing the awards ceremony and all of the art work” – Lyra

“I enjoyed seeing different types of artwork, especially the ‘road pigeon’ which was a pigeon with human clothes on!!” – Zack
“I am really proud of myself! It was nice my mum, grandma, brother and friends could come to see my artwork” – Rebecca
